A new boss in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5 has leaked and, from the details provided so far, it may be a huge menace to players, but in the best possible way. Version 2.5 is still a few weeks away as HoYoverse’s turn-based RPG is currently in Phase 1 of Version 2.4. At the moment, the game is revisiting the Xianzhou Luofu for a new story arc that starts with the Wardance festival taking place and March 7th undergoing special training to become a swordmaster. As such, now players can focus on reaching March 7th (Hunt)’s build in Honkai: Star Rail.
The story arc on the Xianzhou Luofu will continue with the new patch and, according to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat, which was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit, there will be a new weekly boss opponent introduced with Version 2.5. The Borisin creature, which has already appeared as an NPC, is known as Hoolay, and will seemingly become the opponent of an upcoming boss fight. The leak mentions that Hooly will become the fastest opponent in Honkai: Star Rail.

Leaked Honkai: Star Rail 2.5 Boss May Be The Fastest Enemy In The Game
The Creature Allegedly Boosts Its Own SPD By Around 80%
As seen in the leak, the upcoming boss is expected to have 190 base SPD, which is not particularly higher than some other opponents in the game. However, Hooly seems to have a trick up its sleeve. This boss is said to be able to summon Wolftrooper opponents and, for every Wolftrooper on the field, Hoolay’s SPD increases by 5%. With a single Wolftrooper, his base SPD increases to 199. With two, that number goes up to 209 SPD. Given the nature of Borisin summons in Honkai: Star Rail, there will likely be even more Wolftrooper enemies on the field.
In addition to that, the leak mentions that after enemies have performed a total of six attacks, they all enter the Moon Rage state. In this state, Hoolay’s SPD gets a massive 80% increase. According to the leak, this means around 342 and 380 SPD in Memory of Chaos level 12 encounters. If this is true, the leaked boss in Version 2.5 will truly become the fastest opponent in the game, representing a menace to a variety of team comps in Honkai: Star Rail.
With this SPD stat, the player’s strategy will likely come down to trying to get in as much damage as possible before the leaked boss enters the Moon Rage state. After this, Hoolay may strike first and more frequently in the action bar. Currently, Seele is the fastest character in the game with a base SPD of 115. There are leaks about Feixiao in Honkai: Star Rail that indicate she will have a base SPD of 125, making her a lot swifter. Even so, it should be very tough to match Hoolay’s SPD if the most recent leak is true.
There are also rumors that Hoolay will have the highest base HP of all single bosses in the game.
The leak should be considered with a grain of salt, as it may be incorrect or subject to change. However, HoYoverse has been increasing the intensity of its enemy encounters over the past few patches and it is very likely that the leaked Hoolay boss will be just as difficult and quick as currently predicted. Nevertheless, with new powerful releases like Feixiao and Lingsha in Honkai: Star Rail, players may be able to topple the Borisin boss.
